The Legal Register Centre can disclose to media outlets certain basic information regarding court proceedings, as well as other record data held in the national record and case management system, provided that such information has been made public at a court and the court has not restricted access to it.

Re­search

The Legal Register Centre can disclose information held in its registers and systems for research purposes. Researchers can submit a request for information or apply the Legal Register Centre for a research permit.

Gen­eral right of ac­cess to in­for­ma­tion

Documents drawn up or held by authorities are in the public domain unless provisions have been issued in an act concerning their secrecy. Provisions on the access to documents are issued in the Act on the Openness of Government Activities.
