Insolvency register

Anyone can search for insolvency information (insolvency matters) from this free public information retrieval service. The insolvency register contains the same information as the register of bankruptcies and restructurings and register of debt adjustments .

For debt adjustment matters, the register only contains information on business debts incurred by private individuals.

The debt adjustment information of private debts has to be requested separately from the Legal Register Centre. Read more on the "Register of debt adjustments" page.

What information does the insolvency register contain?

The register provides information on, for example:

• applications and decisions concerning bankruptcies and corporate restructurings;
• the time and place of the creditors' meeting; and
• the bankruptcy's lodgement date or the estate administrator's details.

When is the insolvency register useful?

If you do not require an extract or certificate from the register of bankruptcies and restructurings, it is easiest to check the information from the insolvency register . It is free to use and does not require logging in. The register contains up-to-date information on insolvency proceedings.

API for organisations

An API to the insolvency register is available in the Suomi.fi Data Exchange Layer . By connecting to the API, organisations can make queries from the register through their own information systems.
